NATIVITIES

I had visions of the Playmobile Nativity solving all my problems this year. It didn't. The pieces are far too small to have down low. They are a choking hazard for Stacia. Zander also wasn't real interested in the tiny pieces....just the big pieces he could place in with the real Nativity.

No sooner had I read Renee's comment on the blog, than Charly called. She also recommended Fisher Price's nativity. I looked online while we talked and it was cute.

When I ran out for milk, Kleenex, and cough syrup, I checked for the nativity. I found it. It's darling. No small pieces for choking hazards. Cute hair on the animals. The star lights up and plays Christmas carols. The little ones love it. The pieces are big enough they won't get lost. . . easily. Charly, this set came with the shepherds so I didn't have to buy them separately.

I am so glad you were able to find the Fisher Price Nativity. It is adorable (but drats none of mine are young enough for it)... even with my children the Playmobile drives me crazy at times with all the small pieces.... but at least mine are all old enough to not eat the pieces

Where-o-where did you FIND it?! It is so cute and I KNOW Gavin will be all over our Nativity if we pull it out. THIS would be perfect! TIA!

Oh I love it! I wish I had something like this when my daughter was little. My mother gave me the set I grew up with a few years ago. This year I think it will be time to get a new stable though because this one is not looking so hot!

Jen - it's at the fisherprice.com site....and our local walmart (who I heard we are no longer boycotting so I'll go in there if I must now) had the whole set PLUS the shepherds for $38 - cheaper than the website. It's worth checking.

I'm with you on the playmobile pieces. I have the advent calendar but I really don't think it will work for us - more tiny pieces all over the house....to many little mouths this year.

BTW Stephanie, I'm thrilled to have a baby so I can have this little set in my home....I'll most likely display it for years to come for little visitors when I no longer have little ones.....

I also just discovered the FP blocks....all these new things I haven't even known about. LOL

Okay, I just love this! Gabe wants to go to Wallie-world for his "plane day" on Thursday, I'm going to look and see if they have it.

As a side note...those of you in Arkansas, California, Texas and Mississippi can get this set (basic and the shepherd set) send to your local walmart store from walmart.com, no shipping and it was only $34.95! Something they call site to store.

Even with my youngest being 5yo, I may have to pick this up. She loves to play with stuff like this and act out all kinds of scenes and our Playmobil one has a couple broken pieces (camel's legs are somewhere, not with the camel, etc.)

I found this for Sierra about 3 years ago. I just decorated her room today and set it up on her night stand.

NOW there are dinosaurs and rhinos in with the FP nativity. LOL Zander and Stacia haven't quit playing with this since I took it out of the box....I need to do some educating....I heard Zander say "where's Tinker Bell to sing about Jesus". ::snort::

Zander still hasnt' settled down...he's feeling better...but I'm going to have to seriously look for that melatonin....I thought he was sleeping more but it must have had something to do with the illness. LOL

This is cute! I haven't seen it in any of our stores around here. I'll have to look harder I guess...

Stacia is such a cutie. I can see that she is really becoming a "pistol."

Sis: How cute can anything be? Think I NEED this one because my youngest (34) needs my protection. :):):) NO I need this just to have it. :)

They sure make some neat things for kids these days.

Mom, I did think of you when I bought this one. It would fit with your collection but also it's just CUTE for little kids who may come by.

::snort:: "pistol"???? That's about right, Mike. Keep that thought in place and begin shifiting your thoughts of your darling little bundle. LOL
