SNOW IN TX???

Good grief...and I thought it was scary around here when it RAINS! ::snort::

Temps are dropping quickly....low tonight is supposed to be 19* and 50% of snow...tomorrow high is supposed to 35* - freezing rain...today was 78*.....

Josiah has done all we could think of to do with pipes and such.....I have been missing the snow....it's sure not going to stay around long...but it could be fun....LOL

Maybe the cold spell will be good for getting rid of all the germs!

It is still in the 50s here and it is almost midnight. It seems so very strange to have it so warm.

I think your weather is heading our way for Friday.

Enjoy any snow you get.

Thinking of you. It sounds like a lot of fun. Maybe you should try that fireplace.

It's 27* this a.m. Haven't checked the yard to see how everything weathered. I SHOULD have left the Christmas lights on but didn't think of THAT until this a.m.

Try the fireplace????? Where would I put the books and stockings????? Hmm....maybe we will.....it would certainly be a novelty.

Try the fireplace? I was thinking the same thing DeEtta.
To a woman a fireplace is a beautiful spot for decorating (esp during the holidays); to a man it is a challlenge.
and yes snow in TX (at least in central TX where we lived) is scarey because folks do'nt know how to drive in snow

A fireplace is not a challenge; it is a tool. It serves a purpose. Mostly, though it just sits there unused for its primary purpose - provide heat and light.

Heat and light are practical and nice, but there is also the aesthetic (sp?) quality of cozy cheerfulness it brings to the room with it's glow. We started using our fireplace this year and the children frequently sit mesmerized watching the flames and enjoying the warmth.

A precautionary note: If you use your husband's shop vac to clean it out when the embers are cold, be aware that when the filter clogs, you will fill the room with the finest cloud of ash imaginable! LOL Shoveleling is better...and I'm learning the hard way! {G}

Enjoy De'Etta!

I just noticed your ticker, are you riding your bike in that cold weather?!? I'm a big baby I guess, we were "freezing" last night going to the grocery store when it was 57º and the wind was blowing...

ok, ok.....we'll see about the fireplace. I have to be out at a spouses function tonight so the fire can't be going while I'm gone. It would be new to Stacia and she must explore.

I love wood heat....but shoot I don't think we've even cleaned the chimney of this one since we moved in.

Jen - I didn't ride today but I have been riding extra all week knowing the cold front was coming. LOL
