Unexpected Interruptions

I'm partially to blame for this. I've been inattentive. THIS is what happens when I get focused on "the list". THIS is one or two big reasons why I seem to be spinning my wheels.

No one was hurt.....

Zander and Stacia painted....ugh.

We have been talking about Jared painting the neighbors fence. ::sigh::

What a sick feeling....I wasn't sure ti would clean up. (Jared wants to be 100% sure all readers know HE didn't paint that fence - it the dynamic duo). We got most of it cleaned up.....and I found that my parenting style has really changed. There was a time when I would have had a meltdown....but it's really much easier to mentor when you know that a natural consequence will follow the deed....why fret...get out the towels....

Zander will think twice before doing this again. I'm not sure about Stacia...she was having way too much fun.

I love the "natural consequences!" Thanks for the laugh. Glad my kids aren't the only ones who entertain themseleves in the most messy of ways!

Oh My, yes Zander will remember this and not do it again but Stacia may be too young to remember. What a day you all had.

ACK! Why do those things always happen when we have the least amount of time?

Oh my! The Sharpie on the arm seems so mild now. ;-) Of course, the last time one of my children got ahold of Sharpies he DID decorate my computer & the wall of our RENTAL apartment. ::sigh:: He even did this again just a few years ago when he should have known better. And this is not the same child who "tattoed" himself today. ;-)

OMG!! This is the second blog I read today with kids getting into paint. The other little girl painted the house while the mom was up on the roof doing trim paint!! Now I have got to go check and make sure ALL of our paint is locked up tight!! I am glad to hear that it washed off!
