TGIF

This has been an incredibly exhausting week.....at home, at work, at chapel....

Today I took Jared to the doctor - Pink Eye. Prayers that it is contained are welcome.

Multi-tasking even with Pink Eye (draining one batch of pasta, stirring the other)

Photobucket

We did some school. I posted a Titus 2 Tidbit on the regional PWOC blog, posted some things on the local PWOC blog, sent out all the info to remove myself as United co-op coordinator. Well....posts below detail the day.

I've now listened to the first 30 min Japanese lesson twice. I think I can say, "excuse me", "Do you understand English", "I don't understand Japanese", "yes" and "no". LOL

We ate. Mike got home and now we're going to watch Jerry Lewis in Geisha Boy.

Do you think you'll need to ask people if they understand Japanese very often in Japan?

Praying that the pink eye clears up quickly.

Beware of perfecting your accent. Dh took Germany in high school and college. So when we went places he would start talking in German but then folks thought he was native and then he ended up lost in the conversation :)

LOL Type O Dorothy - which I will now fix...actually both phrases are included in the lesson but the one I think will be most useful is "Do you understand ENGLISH" and "I don't understand Japanese". LOL

Renee - not much fear of me perfecting the accent. ::snort::

Renee's story sounds like my husbands, 4 years of German & a German speaking Dad prepared him well to speak the language. The problem was, we were in an area that spoke low German and he was taught high german. Every time he spoke German to them, they would speak in English back to him. I on the other hand learned from the locals and never had people speak english back to me unless I asked if they spoke english.(made the hubby a tad uptight, LOL)

The over the counter drops work great for Pink Eye (http://www.similasanusa.com/).
