Got A Call...

at about 1:00 p.m. saying that Josiah was about to jump. We've not heard a word since. I guess he and his two friends were all calling their families before they jumped. ::snort::

We're hoping to watch the jump on DVD tonight if they get back in time.....and they really ARE talking about doing this again to celebrate Jamin's graduation. Krista says she'll jump with them. We're not sure the military will allow Mike to jump. Mike says he "doesn't know why anyone would want to jump out of a perfectly good airplane," but then he's a pilot.

Good for Jamin...and brave of Krista!

I'm with Mike too. Although I've always wanted to ride in a bi-plane with the wind whipping through my hair. LOL (With seatbelt on...)

I agree with Mike! You're such a good mom, not tying him up so he couldn't go. lol

When your blog was loading it went flourescent green. I thought, "Huh. De'Etta got creative on this change." lol I was so relieved to see the pretty background come back. lol

Sis: Oh ouch, how I want to do that. It would be so fun to do it at the same time others kids of yours were doing it. Is there some sort of a thing that people my age can't do a first time jump? Is there any preparation for it in advance. Come on DeEtta someday lets try it.

we bought my husband a tandem sky dive for his 40th birthday. I was a bit scared when I first organised it but when he was safe on the ground I was super happy. He really enjoyed it. We have a video and dvd of it so watch it fairly regularly.

I'm not sure if Mike needs permission to jump but IF something were to happen I think the military can refuse to provide free medical care and/or pay on life insurance.
Of course he could go to Jump School (do they have that in the AF for non-pilots?) and learn to jump without a tandem jumper. :)

I'm with Mike. I can't figure out why anyone would want to do that (LOL).
