First Day of School (Tuesday)I had planned a rolling start but the children were raring to go. This is fine. I did feel like I was trying to "catch up" with the children all week. ::snort::
When the children were younger we used to wrap all their school books up and open them the first day of school. We have far too many books to do that now.
I used to have the kids color coordinated...school supplies, plates, towels etc. (I have confessed to being slightly neurotic in my younger days). This practice ended as our family grew and we were no longer able to find enough colors! ::snort::
THIS year I decided to color cordinate the school supplies of the younger 4. We have crates of notebooks, pencils and such. I simply HAD to buy a FEW treats to begin the year.

WHOA - combining my love of notebook rings wi th index cards....I haven't a clue what I'll use these for, but the possiblities are endless.
The older boys got new folders to store papers for their portfolios and journals to write in daily.
School is off and running and I'm still desperately trying to organize the year.

It seems I still have so much to do. I've changed my mine so many times over the last month on what we were all doing that I still have things to order, but thankfully, I didn't order before we made the changes! :-)
How fun for all the kids to get great new school supplies. We have so much stuff, but we also bought a few new things, just because.
I like the idea of those clear paper organizers. That just might work for us! I always get great ideas from you. Thanks for sharing.

Are these index cards on a ring the new thing? Both Hayley and Tristan needed cards on a ring for different co-op classes. I didn't know you could get them all in a set like that. I've been three hole punching index cards. Learned somethimg new today!
Do you know you have blue scissors in the green box (LOL)! I saw some of those cards that already had the rings and almost bought some myself.
Yep, I know Cindy. They are blue and green (though that doesn't show well) and were the only ones I could find in the right color.....so they can go with either box. LOL
