Thursdays are SO Busy! I'm not even going to tell you everything we did today or what we did not finish today. I'm totally standing in awe of God's grace that allowed to much to be done in 17 short hours. ::snort::
HOWEVER - our election books are coming together. The "Election link" in the sidebar will take you to a list of resources we have used. We combined elements from 2 or 3 free lapbooks we discovered.
Tonight, we were ready to try to put it all together.....we needed more folders. We TRIED to glue three together as instructed in one spot....the glue is STILL drying. I got out our old Thanksgiving Lapbook and re-taught myself how to combine folders...and now we can add as many pages as we need.
The older boys have been watching incessant internet clips, reading articles, listening to radio etc. I let Zander out of the lapbook and he sat in with our reading. Arielle and Nolan did lapbooks in addition to our other activities.

I loved her coloring and addition of the doodle on the right.

This looked like so much fun that *I* decided to make a lapbook....

The kids are teasing me about writing the first Sarah Palin Comic Book.

De'Etta,
I like it! VBG I recognize those pictures in your lap book...glad you made a memory book with them!
Arielle and Nolan, yours are great too! A lot of work went into those lap books! Well done!
You ALL have done great with your lapbooks.LOL
Great idea about the ice cream election. I voted and will have my kids do so when they get up.
Boy, those are amazing! Great job. I did much more for the last election than I have done this time. I wonder why. I figure by the time the next one comes around, I'll have another chance as my 6 and 7 year old will be perfect age.
I'm bummed, looking at your fabulous lapbooks, to have missed out on the opportunity. :)
Great job! B did the election thing during the primaries so we haven't revisited it this fall. Although, he did tell me this morning to be sure to let him know who wins so he knows who the president is. LOL
Nice looking lapbooks. Worth saving for the future. :) I like the Drill Here Drill Now foto.
Good job kids of all ages!
love/prayers

The kids did a great job (you too!).
I enjoy the lapbooks and am so glad that I finally have kids that like to work on them.
Bess and Gabe are doing election lapbooks, but we aren't finished yet.
