Weasel's Den

Thanks to Jared for taking these photos. Below is the Weasel's Den. "Wild Weasels" is the nickname of the fighters on this base. They are the first in and the last out....they attack to defend....get the idea? I couldn't tell you yet which sort of Fighters are on base....but I know there are a lot of them and that Mike and Jared could tell you in a heartbeat. LOL

ANYWAY - the Weasel's Den is a great community center for families on base. It will be an amazing refuge in the long winter. Outdoor Rec equiptment rental is also located here. We had something similar in AK - but we also had restaurants in the building. That is a blessing and a curse. Without restauarants in the building we are able to bring our own food in and enjoy a cheaper/healthier alternative in the building. OH - and there is WIFI at the Weasel's Den so that desperate pcsing (moving) Mommies can play too. ::snort:: THIS is where I met the friend of my friend in Guam. LOL

What IS THIS thing?
Photobucket
It's some sort of TV character....and since all the directions to the game are in Japanese, I'm sure the kids don't have a clue either, but they enjoyed the game. I thought it was a good deal....two kids for two coins on one game....until I realized that Y200 is just a bit over $2.

We enjoy the Weasel's Den, (early in the day before it is packed), and will probably head over there again today.

That's something we really could have used in Garmish... we had nothing for the long cold winter months

Wow, what a great indoor place. We could use something like that in our long winters.

Was that an ice rink?

I love watching you explore your new home - the other one I love, too. Thank you for your excited posts about each new adventure. I've noted all 7 posts that appeared on my reader today but will just reply to this one. We love seeing the vending machines; the different teas are wonderful, especially the rose tea with no sugar or sweeteners. Have fun with each new day!! Hug Japan for me - I'm actually being hugged with each new post. God bless - and pray for the Japanese. They need Jesus.

Yep, this place is GREAT. We're here again as we need something to do other than watch AFN in the TLF....how are you all doing on military speak? AFN- Armed Forces Network and TLF - Temp. lodging facility.

Mel - this place is amazing! Yes, our hearts have been touched to pray for those we meet...and that is a big reason we want to live off base...but God knows what he is doing.....There are lots of nationals working on base to visit with too.

How neat there is such a place to go to play. What is that large blue area in the middle. At first I thought swimming but..... do think it might be something else.

Have fun! All you have to say makes us want to be there for a month or so..... you make it come alive tho to all of us.

love/prayers --- Mom T

The blue area is for playing soccer and they use it for a skating rink as well.
