Two Full Days

Friday
Speech. Produce pick up. Sort produce. Produce delivery. Healthy Weight Loss class. Arielle and Nolan's Drama class. Cy worked. Pink Panther.

Saturday
The Brady Bunch (what did *I* ever see in this show - the littles love it?????). Curves. Paintball. Birthday party. Football. Car repairs. Shopping.

More details?
The boys were excited today to meet up with Mandy's husband, Marty, and son, Matt, for a few rousing rounds of paintball. The base has a great course (if you like wallowing in cockle burs and that sort of play). The price is right. Today there were quite a few trainees (active duty) and so they had a challenge...and fun.

Arielle attended a birthday party today. Emma's Spa...what fun. I love what Deja and family did for Emma's birthday. Instead of presents for Emma, everyone brought items to be donated to the children's oncology clinic where her young cousin is a patient. Did I say that I really LOVE this idea? We plan to borrow it.

HEY now! I wanted to BE a Brady! You need to show a little respect here! LOL.

Sis: HA! You sure did like the Brady's and I enjoyed watching it with you too.

I also wonder why I liked it so much back in those days? Probably because you did.

Seems funny to watch stuff from the past and then to see how far good acting and filming has become. Only problem it is a little bit hard to find watchable shows anymore.

Well I was disappointed because I also wanted to be a Brady...but when I rewatched it the family seemed small, they had a MAID...Mom Brady really wasn't the type of mom I've become....and Cindy's acting grates. LOL

Waltons have stood the test of time in a better fashion. Though the littles LOVE Brady's so they'll be around here.

Sis: Since Dad has been down all these months he has taken to watching Waltons and maybe someday we will have seen them all. Missed a lot the years we were overseas.

De'Etta,
Emma is the one who started these philanthropic birthday parties 2 years ago. Since we only celebrate parties w/friends on even years, this is her 2nd party with 'others needs' on her agenda. She got the idea from a friend of hers who had a party to benefit an animal shelter. Her then-8 year old logic: "I have lots of stuff, and my family gets me stuff, so why don't I help the homeless kids." So we took the ball and ran w/it. We let her invite so many (there were a total of 15), because the toys aren't staying in MY house. We love the heart for others the Lord is developing in Emma...and the younger sibs are catching on.

We've collected close to 500 happy meal toys. 50 boxes of bandaids, about 50 hats and 72 packs of stickers. AND in 3 weeks our AWANA club is taking donations for the clinic as well.

To all of this Emma says, "Did I do this?" And our reply is that the Lord used her to motivate others to give.

Eager to hear how the G family uses the idea!
