CAP UPDATELast Saturday was a day long search and rescue training day for Jared and his squadron.
Thursday Jared tested for a new rank. He is now an A1C. He'll officially promote in the near future, but was given the new rank to wear.
Thursday they also made a float of an airplane for today's parade. Somehow Jared cut his finger and had to fill out a CAP 78 - so he'll soon be famous as the cadet who cut his finger. LOL

I guess Landon joined CAP just slightly before Jared (even though he is older than Jared, I think?, he's 14). Anyway, he is an A1C now and will be testing to move up to the next level later this month. They will only allow them to promote once every 2 months in CAP. Greg said they can promote once every month in ROTC. Landon would like that better, but I think the slower promotion rate is worth not having them in the local high school every day. LOL!

Linda - yeah Jared is 13 and I do think Landon joined before him. That once every two month thing is bugging my little over-acheiver. LOL He's doing well and I think enjoys it. He would like to play sports next year and doesn't think he'll have time for CAP, HoF and sports.....we shall see.
