One More Sleep

Yep, just one more day until we begin our journey to Misawa....wellllll.....let me rephrase that...I have a key chain that says, "Every step of the journey is the journey," or something similar. We've begun THIS journey months ago, but one more sleep until we board the International flight to take us to Japan.

The suitcases are packed, AGAIN. I've printed boarding passes. We've checked liquid sizes and packed snacks.

Today, we fed the ducks at Tukwilla Pond.

We walked to Sizzlers for lunch.

Stacia and I walked to Target to buy a few "things".

We played games.

We swam.

We walked to McDonald's for dinner.

We talked to all the family we could reach on the phone. I couldn't reach Dad and Mom G all day and will try again tomorrow. I did talk to Mike, our 4 adult children and my parents.

We're winding it all down.

De'Etta, I am not sure of your flights and all that, but I will be praying all day for you and the children. Blessings for a safe and uneventful flight.

Can't wait to see the words, "We are in Misawa!"

I know it is strange, but I miss you already. Somehow I always figured we would hook up someplace in the US of A....Japan just seems so far away.

I am looking forward to all your adventures during the next three years. You and Mike always make the most of wherever you are.

Sis,

We returned Sat from 15 days travel. My gh was pulled in security at the airport for a bag check because we didn't meet the requirement to have the "3oz toiletries" in clear quart-sized plastic baggies. Chicago Airport was a stickler about it...Don't know if Sea-Tac will be. One baggie per person. Baggie needs to be out of the luggage during scanning. Shoes were now placed directly on the scanner belt and not in a plastic bin...again, don't know if this is standard for all airports...Just want you to be prepared "just in case scenario..."

Praying for all...How's Jared feeling?

Echoing what Darshia said - how's Jared? Up to traveling? Have had him in my prayers. Now carrying your entire family to God's ears for safe travels and the lot!

Oh, the 3oz toiletries in clear quart-sized baggies was for carry-ons, not checked bags. Sorry, I was tired last night and my not have been clear.
