I have a Kitty!!!
Ok - not really but sort of. Mike made it very clear before we even got married that he dislikes cats and our home wouldnt' have one....but this one found US.

Evidently he was dropped off in our ally. He's darling. He chose the motor of Mike's honda for his first home. We couldnt' convince him to let us help him. We left the hood open and he escaped to our wood pile. Again, we couldn't get him. We left water out last night and hoped for the best. This a.m. he was still meowing. Josiah and Jamin dismanted the wood pile and couldn't find him. They pounded around in the shed and he wouldn't leave. They finally got out the air compressor and that convinced him to abandon his hiding place. Jamin caught him. We are now trying to calm him down, give him milk and tuna...and find a home.

I know - silly - but I really want to find a home for him. The Animal Shelter will take him but they won't guarantee that they'll put him up for adoption. We've sent out emails, and are taking flyers out today in case someone lost a kitty and forgot to come searching for it????

I'd love to keep him, but I really can't. I'd rather keep Mike. Please pray with the children and I that someone will fall in love with this kitten.

I love the statement of how you'd rather keep Mike. lol. I feel that way a lot about pet.. we had 2 puppies find us this weekend. I keep hoping something I want to keep will wander along!

Oh bless that little kitty's heart. It's too funny how he kept hiding from you...just exactly as we silly humans try to hide from God's protection. But God keeps digging through the woodpile until He finds us. Then if we choose to stop running, He adopts us. Could you put it that way, to Mike? {snort}
I'm sorta praying along the same lines as Dorothy. LOL But I do hope you find him a home. He is TOO cute. ~Yvonne

Sis:

At least you KNOW it's a boy if it is all yellow.

Wish we lived close to both you and bridget. We want a cat (Sherri & Kerri) hate them, and we want a small dog. Just can't seem to cross the line to actually getting either.

I think it would be funny if Dorthy turned out right. :):)

Mike we aren't against you at all! :)

Stranger things have happened than a cat hater falling in love with a kitten that happens upon their home!

Maybe someone from your produce co-op will see it on produce day and adopt it.

Still wish I could take it for you somehow. Love the comment about putting him on the blog give away!

We have had inside cats on and off over the years. Gabe's asthma forced the issue on no more indoor cats. I am actually relieved. I find cats more difficult than dogs.

We now have an outside kitty. He adopted us 8 years ago. He is very content to hang out around our place. We feed him, take him for shots and he lets us pat him and play with him, but he is definitely an outside cat and a great mouser!

Hopefully you will find a home for this little guy.

All of our cats (6 or more) and our dog are outdoor pets. Maybe the cat can stay around as long as it stays outside? We do let our dog in on the porch when it's either really hot or really cold.. but no cats come in... they won't stay on the porch like the dog will.

Our dog would kill the kitty. Pure and simple. Our dog is an indoor/outdoor dog. I can't imagine a kitty surviving in this household....well *I* can but not if I want to keep peace in my marriage. ::snort::

Oh De'Etta! I wish we lived closer . . I would adopt it and have it here by the time Carlos gets home from Missouri.

Cassie never came home so I think she has definitly passed away. I know he wants a new cat. . .we also keep our cats outside because I am allergic.

I will pray you find a owner for the kitty!

You know, for 20+ years, Bugman had me convinced that he HATED cats. But then for Christmas, he caved and got Legoboy a kitten, still insisting he HATED cats. After a day or two, we became aware that he didn't dislike them... the fact that he was constantly holding the kitten made it obvious. Maybe Mike just needs to "get to know it"??? Hope you find it a good home!
