Photobucket Urban Camping at it's Absolute Best

Guess who forgot his packed bag? This insured that we made our perennial camping/Walmart trip.

Our KOA is in the "middle of the metroplex". ::snort:: Ah, camping to the sounds and sights of car alarms, semi-trucks and search lights. ::snort:: Seriously, this is just what we needed. For our family to spend 3 nights in Dallas would have been $600 - 900 in hotels alone....this way we can see the sights and not break the budget.

Yesterday we did Six Flags. Here are photos that I (De'Etta) took. Arielle and I had Stacia and Zander. Mike and the boys were off on their own. We met for lunch and again at 5:00 p.m. Then we did a few family rides and left before "fright fest" really kicked off. What creepy outfits.

We've decided Zander goes with the more adventurous next time. He begged for a few rides which the older ones took him on at the end of the day and LOVED them. We all had a great day. We were all very tired by the time we got back to the trailer. We can see 2 or 3 stars from our campsite.

The tickets to Six Flags were a gracious gift from our denomination. What a wonderful family day they provided!

WOW! That looks like a LOT of fun. Glad you're having nice weather. We, otoh, are in the middle of a winter weather warning storm event! Many things cancelled, bad roads, and it's still coming down!

What a fun day! We have also done the urban camping to save on hotels. We still have a great time and having your "little house" with you is so much more convenient.

Did you ever get it straightened out with KOA saying your family was too big? We are finding more and more campgrounds charging for more than 2 children...lame!

Oh my goodness! You could have camped out in our backyard for FREE! And no hassles about your family size here. ;-) I didn't realize you were coming to D/FW....did you mention that, and I totally missed it? Bummer!

I wish we could have met up this weekend. We love Six Flags and have Season Passes. But this weekend was just so busy for us. Phillip said he would have loved to meet Mike. Well, we must get together before you leave TX!

Wonderful Day! Brings back memories of my family going on trips. Unfortunately for my little brother he had a wimpy big sister who didn't go on those crazy rides. He needed some of those big boys. What great sports.

Very fun! You got som very nice pictures of people on rides. That's one thing I often don't do so well with, just getting the backs of people or their legs flying past. LOL
